A brief, but almost sad smile crosses his lips and he lets the thought linger as he takes another long drink.
Finally, he says; "Well, it's not bad... I mean, we've both spent the last fifteen years trying to meet a woman that makes it past the first three dates." He shrugs, "May as well be single together."
It's not supposed to sound creepy, but on second thought he's pretty sure it does.
